Academic Advising & Transfer Center
The Academic Advising and Transfer Center provides continuous support guiding students in making informed educational decisions. Academic advisors help students with academic support, career exploration, course scheduling, educational planning, and transfer advising.
Academic Calendar
Important academic dates and events are listed on the Academic Calendar.
The ARIES student planning system is the main student online planning tool. Students are able to view grades, register for courses, make changes to their schedules, and manage financial information. ARIES replaces WebAdvisor functions at 91ÁÔÆæ.
Change of Major
Currently enrolled students who would like to change their program/major need to submit a change of major request through the general online Admissions application.
Registrar's Office
The Registrar’s Office manages student records and provides students services for transcript ordering; class registration for non-degree students; requests to audit a class; enrollment verifications; withdrawal requests; ; CCGS forms; name change requests; SSN and residency changes; phone number, address, and personal address changes; dean’s list information; MassTransfer block and pathways information; and course offering information.
Testing & Assessment Center
The Testing and Assessment Center provides incoming as well as current students proctored testing services such as placement assessments, CLEP exams, Challenge exams, and HiSET/GED Exams.
TRIO Student Support Services
TRIO SSS provides individual assistance while attending college. TRIO SSS helps students who are first-generation, meet income guidelines, and/or have a documented disability achieve academic and personal success while in college and also prepares them to transition into a career or four-year institution upon completion of their degree. Specific supports include academic counseling, peer tutoring, scholarships, and workshops and events.
Career Services
Career Services provides students with career planning support from full and part-time employment and internship opportunities, assistance with resume and cover letter writing, interviewing techniques, mock interviews, and advising through the entire job search process.
Career Coach
The Career Coach tool offeres a list of work opportunities from partnered employers, detailed job and salary trends for hundreds of in-demand jobs sorted by 91ÁÔÆæ program and career interests, career assessment tools, and a resume builder.

Childcare Center
On the 91ÁÔÆæ campus, HCS Head Start provides child care services in Building 14, located on the south side of the campus near State Street, to eligible families at 91ÁÔÆæ and in the Springfield community.
Disability Services
Our Office of Disability Services (ODS) provides accommodations, services, and auxiliary aids to students with disabilities.
Debt Appeal Process
The Office of Student Affairs oversees the Outstanding Debt Appeal process. The process is used to appeal an outstanding tuition and fee debt obligation to Springfield Technical Community College, due to extenuating circumstances.
Financial Aid (Student Financial Services)
Paying for college can be overwhelming at times. The Student Financial Service Department is here to assist with all questions regarding the financial aid process, payment arrangements, bookstore vouchers, Ram Cards, and health insurance waivers.
MassEducate and MassReconnect
The MassEducate and MassReconnect programs allow all Massachusetts residents access to community college for free - No tuition. No fees. Both programs include an allowance for books and supplies for eligible students.
